The In-between Thoughts

We have thoughts and more thoughts, and sometimes too many thoughts!  But what about the spaces in-between our thoughts?  When we slow down (as in slow-mo) these newer, inner-voice-type thoughts begin to emerge.  Our still, quiet voice. The voice that guides us to be our best self.

Mindfully direct yourself to slow down while performing an everyday task, like putting something in the trash can.  Move one foot at a time, lift the lid of the trash can slowly, throw in whatever you're discarding. Then return slowly to the kitchen sink, or your bedroom, or your office, or wherever you first were.  If no thoughts appear between your regular thoughts, increase the time and/or task and observe again.  Has your tiny voice piped up?  Try this exercise again, each time very mindfully moving through space.  Listen for your true voice, even if it is just a whisper for now.  Chances are very good that it is the right voice for you, moving you toward your higher self.

Thou shalt not...

Thou shalt not criticize what happened with your life yesterday.  What does the mind like to do?  Constantly nag about events from yesterday, or yesteryear, and find fault.  "You messed up this. You misjudged that."  And of course, "You're weak and you're pudgy!!" 

The first step is to recognize the mind's errant ways, and ask,"Who is this voice?  And what is it doing in my head?"  Once you accept that you can turn it on and off, you're on your way to regaining control and wholeness.  You are a wonderful human being!

Today is a new day!  Start fresh with an uplifting voice.  "I am fantastic just as I am!"  And see if your day is better for it.

How big is your aura?

Common knowledge is that our auras extend as far out from our bodies as our arms can reach.  Say three feet.  Wave your arms and find your personal space.  Then add some aura house cleaning by waving your arms in all directions.  Wave them faster and super-charge your personal space. 

 But what if your aura is six feet?  Twenty-six feet?  Pick a number and imagine the possibilities.  More flying room, endless potential.  Wave your arms as if there are magic wands on every finger.  With yoga, every day lived with awareness brings a bit of aura extension.  Enjoy yours!
